Synopsis: “Cordelia! Is a film about an unloved girl on the cusp of womanhood, who finds playing with fire to be an effective coping mechanism. With the ember of hope this new fascination brings, Cordelia decides to go one step further – and use that fire to protect herself. ”
Acting as both the sound editor and audio recordist was filled with challenges and creative opportunities. Filming outdoors during the winter presented its difficulties, but we managed to adapt and capture quality audio by employing windshields and specialized equipment to minimize unwanted noise. The director's vision of a creepy and tense atmosphere required a meticulous selection of textures and sound effects. From eerie whispers to creaking floorboards, I scoured sound libraries and even recorded custom Foley in the TMU recording studio to add layers of unease to the scenes. In post-production, the real magic happened as I collaborated closely with the director and producers in a studio environment. Over the course of a few intense days, we carefully balanced gain levels for each element, ensuring the dialogue, sound effects, and music complemented each other seamlessly. The result was a soundscape that I hope enhanced the intended chilling atmosphere
